Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
D-Wayne Beat is a beatboxer who I encountered on Brisbane’s open mic circuit. He has won several competitions in the past, and the sounds that come out of his mouth simply have to be seen and heard to be believed! He had been wanting to come on the show for some time, and tonight this will finally come to fruition as he joins Alan for a chat and a song or three.
